    šŸ“ø Game preview

No. 5 Ole Miss (6-0, 3-0 SEC) is headed on the road for the first time in five weeks to face No. 9 Georgia (5-1, 3-1 SEC). The Rebels, led by head coach Lane Kiffin, look to go back-to-back over Georgia after winning 28-10 last year in Oxford. Georgia, already with one loss, needs to defend its turf and reassert itself back at the top of the league.

Rebels are roll; Bulldogs need to bite back

Ole Miss is riding a perfect record going into Sanford Stadium after narrowly getting by Washington State last week, but this is its first true road test against a top-10 opponent. Last year’s 26-10 Ole Miss win in Oxford undoubtedly stands as a career win for Kiffin, but the Bulldogs have dominated the series, 33-14-1, and are 19-4-1 record against Ole Miss in Athens.

Georgia made it out of Auburn with a 20-10 victory and now has its first top-10 home matchup since 2023. Head coach Kirby Smart is still a defensive minded coach, allowing only 34 second-half points this season. Smart’s tenure has seen the Bulldogs go 7-0 against top-10 teams in Sanford Stadium.

    A high-powered offense meets a stingy defense

This game pits Ole Miss’s potent offense against Georgia’s elite defense. The Rebels average 37.8 points and 515.3 yards per game, outpacing Georgia’s 32.2 points and 414.8 yards per game. The key to the Rebels’ success lies in their balanced attack.Có thể lĆ  hƬnh įŗ£nh về bóng đƔ vĆ  văn bįŗ£n cho biįŗæt 'G OleMiss Georgia Ole Miss'

Quarterback Trinidad Chambliss, a Ferris State transfer, remains undefeated as a starter. He leads the SEC in passing yards per completion, averaging over 15 yards while completing 65 percent of his throws. He will test a Georgia secondary that has given up few explosive plays this year, outside of its shootout in Knoxville.

Along with Chambliss is running back Kewan Lacy. The Missouri transfer ranks second in the SEC with 587 rushing yards and has eight scores on the ground. Lacy is coming off his career-high 142 yards last week, but will test that against Georgia’s top-20 rushing defense, which allows just 91.71 yards per game.

On the other side, Georgia’s offense is led by junior Gunner Stockton, in his first season as a starter. He has totaled 1,264 passing yards and 12 total touchdowns (six passing, six rushing).

    Players to watch

Big games are won by big play makers and that’s who Georgia and Ole Miss will be relying on to win this game.

    Ole Miss:

    • QB Trinidad Chambliss:Ā Chambliss has been on an impressive run since taking over, completing 65% of his passes for 1,286Ā yards and threeĀ touchdowns, plus 281Ā rushing yards and three scores this season.
    • RB Kewan Lacy:Ā Lacy has carried the ball 126 times for 587 yards (4.7 a carry) for eight touchdowns and will be the key to opening up the Rebels offense.
    • LB TJ Dottery:Ā Leads the Rebel defense in tackles with 37 and will be crucial in containing Georgia’s ground game.

    Georgia:

    • QB Gunner Stockton:Ā Has dual-threat abilities in the red zone — running for a team-high six touchdowns — forcingĀ defenses to respect both his arm and his legs.
    • LB CJ Allen:Ā Anchoring theĀ Bulldogs’ defense, he ranks first on the teamĀ in tackles with 46Ā and comes off a 10-tackle performance against Auburn.
    • LB Raylen Wilson:Ā Another junior linebacker who consistently delivers, he provides a potent one-two punch with Allen at the second level.
