SOUTH BEND, INDIANA — Few coaching names in modern Notre Dame history generate as much conversation, emotion and debate as Brian Kelly.

For more than a decade, Kelly stood on the Notre Dame sideline carrying one of the heaviest responsibilities in college football: leading the Fighting Irish.
